As we seek lightning publicity, we must recall that in the long run, the product is always you. What you are ultimately selling is trust, faith, and cooperation to achieve goals by collaborating.

The media wants audience-building stories. You want free publicity. You must be the product by solving the problems of the journalists: story ideas, multiple sources, local tie-ins.

Think of yourself as the product, then start being a good product: solve problems.
